Does the J11 support 5GHz Wi-Fi?
The Smart Chime Base can connect to your home router using either 2.4GHz or 5GHz Wi-Fi. The J11 doorbell then connects wirelessly to the Smart Chime Base over 2.4GHz for better range and more reliable communication through walls.
What does the Smart Chime Base do?
It works as an indoor chime, local storage hub and Wi-Fi connection hub. It also offers adjustable volume, three standard ringtones, three custom ringtones and a Do Not Disturb mode.
Is a monthly subscription required?
No. The free cloud service includes a 6-second clip for each detected event with a 7-day rolling history. For longer recordings, you can use local microSD card storage or choose an optional paid cloud plan.
Does it support local storage?
Yes. Insert a microSD card into the Smart Chime Base to save and play back recordings locally without a monthly fee. It supports cards up to 512GB. The microSD card is sold separately.
What is the video resolution?
The J11 records in 3K 5MP Ultra HD, providing a clear view of visitors, faces and deliveries.
What is the viewing angle?
The J11 provides a 122° diagonal field of view, including 105° horizontal and 60° vertical coverage.
How does motion detection work?
PIR human detection helps identify approaching people and sends instant alerts to your phone. You can also customize motion zones to focus on important areas such as your porch or driveway.
Can I speak with visitors remotely?
Yes. Full-duplex two-way audio lets you hear and speak with visitors in real time through the mobile app.
How far can the doorbell be installed from the Smart Chime Base?
The maximum transmission distance is up to 200 m (656 ft) in an open area without obstacles. Walls, interference and other environmental conditions may reduce the actual range.
Can multiple family members use the doorbell?
Yes. Shared access allows family members to receive alerts, view the live feed and monitor the front door remotely.
