At XTU, we are committed to the quality and reliability of our products. This Warranty Policy explains the warranty coverage available for eligible XTU products, including coverage periods, eligibility requirements, exclusions, and how to request warranty service.
Unless otherwise stated for a specific product, region, or sales channel, eligible XTU products are covered by a 1-Year Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
This Warranty Policy is separate from the XTU Return & Refund Policy. Eligible products purchased directly from xtucam.com may also qualify for returns within the applicable return period.
Nothing in this Warranty Policy limits any statutory rights or remedies you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
1. Warranty Period
Unless otherwise specified, eligible XTU products are covered by a 1-Year Limited Warranty beginning on the date of purchase or delivery, as determined by the applicable purchase record and local requirements.
The warranty applies only during the applicable warranty period.
Certain products, accessories, promotional items, or regions may have different warranty periods. Where a different warranty period is stated on the applicable product page, packaging, sales agreement, or purchase channel, that specific warranty period will apply.
Please retain your proof of purchase for warranty service.
2. What Does the XTU Warranty Cover?
The XTU Limited Warranty covers eligible defects in materials or workmanship that occur during normal and intended use of the product within the warranty period.
Depending on the product and circumstances, covered issues may include eligible defects involving:
- Camera hardware
- Display or touchscreen
- Buttons and controls
- Charging components
- Internal electronic components
- Built-in microphones or speakers
- Wi-Fi or Bluetooth hardware
- Product power or startup functions
- Other hardware components included as part of the original product
Warranty eligibility is determined after XTU Customer Support reviews the reported issue and available supporting information.
3. What Is Not Covered?
The XTU Limited Warranty does not cover damage or malfunction caused by circumstances unrelated to defects in materials or workmanship.
Examples of situations that are generally not covered include:
Accidental Damage
Damage caused by drops, impacts, collisions, crushing, excessive pressure, or other accidents.
Misuse or Improper Operation
Damage caused by using the product in a manner inconsistent with the user manual, safety instructions, product specifications, or intended use.
Water or Liquid Damage Outside Product Specifications
Damage caused by water, moisture, or other liquids when:
- The product is not rated for the applicable water exposure
- A required waterproof housing was not used
- The supported waterproof depth was exceeded
- Waterproof doors, seals, covers, or housings were not correctly closed
- The product was used outside its stated waterproof specifications
Unauthorized Modification or Repair
Damage resulting from unauthorized disassembly, modification, repair, firmware modification, or servicing performed by a person or service provider not authorized by XTU.
Improper Installation
Damage caused by incorrect installation, mounting, wiring, charging, or connection to incompatible equipment.
Normal Wear and Tear
Cosmetic or functional deterioration resulting from normal use, including scratches, discoloration, surface wear, or other normal aging that does not result from a manufacturing defect.
Consumable Components
Normal deterioration of consumable or limited-life components, including batteries, may not be covered unless the issue results from an eligible defect in materials or workmanship.
Lost or Stolen Products
The warranty does not cover products that have been lost or stolen.
Third-Party Products and Accessories
Damage caused by incompatible or defective third-party accessories, chargers, cables, batteries, memory cards, mounts, software, or other products is not covered.
External Causes
Damage caused by fire, flooding, lightning, extreme temperatures outside specified operating conditions, power surges, natural disasters, or other external causes beyond normal product use is not covered.

8. Warranty Remedies
If XTU determines that a product has an eligible defect covered by this Limited Warranty, XTU may, depending on the circumstances and subject to applicable law:
- Provide troubleshooting or technical support
- Repair the product
- Replace the defective product or component
- Provide a replacement product with equivalent or comparable functionality
- Provide another appropriate remedy
- Provide a refund where required or appropriate
The appropriate solution will depend on factors including the nature of the defect, product availability, repair feasibility, region, and applicable consumer protection laws.
Replacement products or components may be new or equivalent to new in performance and reliability where permitted by applicable law.
9. Warranty Replacement Products
If an eligible product is replaced under warranty, the replacement product will generally continue to be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period, unless a different period is required by applicable law.
Receiving a warranty replacement does not automatically restart the original warranty period.
If local law requires additional warranty coverage for repaired or replaced products, the applicable legal requirement will apply.
10. Warranty Shipping Costs
Responsibility for warranty-related shipping costs depends on the nature of the claim, location, product, and applicable law.
For a confirmed defect covered by the XTU Limited Warranty, XTU may cover reasonable warranty-related shipping costs where applicable.
If inspection determines that the product is not covered by the warranty—for example, because the damage resulted from misuse, accidental damage, unauthorized modification, or another excluded cause—the customer may be responsible for applicable shipping, inspection, repair, or replacement costs where permitted by law.
XTU Customer Support will provide applicable instructions before an authorized return is made.
Please do not send products to an address found on the original package or elsewhere on the website unless specifically instructed to do so by XTU Customer Support.
11. Batteries
Rechargeable batteries naturally lose capacity over time and through repeated charging cycles.
Normal battery capacity degradation resulting from ordinary use is not considered a manufacturing defect.
However, a battery may qualify for warranty service if XTU determines that it has an eligible defect in materials or workmanship during the applicable warranty period.
Battery warranty eligibility may depend on the product, battery type, usage conditions, and applicable local law.
12. Accessories
XTU accessories may include products such as:
- Batteries
- Battery chargers
- Charging cases
- Waterproof housings
- Camera mounts
- Protective cages
- Microphones
- Cables
- Doorbell accessories
- Other compatible accessories
Unless otherwise stated, eligible XTU accessories are covered against defects in materials and workmanship according to the warranty terms applicable to the specific product.
Normal wear, accidental damage, misuse, compatibility issues caused by unsupported products, and consumable deterioration are not covered unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Always confirm accessory compatibility before use.
13. Software and Firmware
XTU may periodically provide firmware, software, applications, or other updates for supported products.
Software and firmware are provided subject to their applicable terms and are not guaranteed to operate without interruption or error.
Problems caused by unauthorized firmware, modified software, unsupported third-party software, or failure to follow official update instructions may not be covered under this Limited Warranty.
For supported products, always use firmware and software provided or approved by XTU.
14. Data and Memory Cards
Before sending a product for warranty service, please back up any important photos, videos, settings, or other data where possible.
Remove memory cards and other removable storage unless XTU Customer Support specifically instructs you to include them.
XTU is not responsible for loss, corruption, or disclosure of data stored on memory cards or other removable storage during warranty service, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
15. Warranty and Return Policy Are Different
The XTU Warranty Policy and XTU Return & Refund Policy serve different purposes.
Return & Refund Policy
The Return & Refund Policy applies to eligible returns within the specified return period after delivery, including qualifying change-of-mind returns and order-related issues.
Warranty Policy
The Warranty Policy applies primarily to eligible defects in materials or workmanship occurring during the applicable warranty period.
A product outside the return period may therefore still qualify for warranty service if it has an eligible defect covered by this policy.
Please refer to the XTU Return & Refund Policy for information about returns, cancellations, exchanges, and refunds.
16. Consumer Rights
This Limited Warranty provides specific contractual warranty rights and is intended to supplement, not replace, rights provided under applicable consumer protection laws.
Depending on your country or region, you may have statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded, restricted, or modified.
Nothing in this Warranty Policy is intended to exclude or limit those mandatory rights.
Where this Warranty Policy conflicts with mandatory applicable consumer protection law, the applicable law will prevail.
17. Limitation of Warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, this Limited Warranty is the warranty provided by XTU for eligible products covered by this policy.
XTU does not exclude or limit warranties, guarantees, remedies, or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Warranty coverage does not extend to indirect damage or losses resulting from circumstances outside the covered product defect except where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
18. Changes to This Warranty Policy
XTU may update this Warranty Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our products, services, support procedures, or applicable legal requirements.
The version applicable to your purchase may depend on the warranty terms in effect at the time of purchase and any mandatory rights provided by applicable law.
The latest version of this policy will be published on xtucam.com with the updated revision date.
