XTU S7PRO Action Camera

Answers to the most common setup, use, and troubleshooting questions.

01  Storage & Memory Card

1. Does the S7 PRO action camera have a built-in SD card?

No. A memory card is not included. Please insert a Micro-SD card before use.

2. What memory card capacity does it support?

It supports Micro-SD cards up to 512GB. We recommend using a high-speed card from a well-known brand, rated U3 or above.

 

02  Compatibility & Protection

3. Does it support third-party Bluetooth microphones?

No. It only supports XTU Bluetooth microphones. Third-party Bluetooth microphones may fail to connect or may not record audio properly.

4. Is it waterproof?

The camera body itself is not waterproof. For underwater shooting or use in rainy conditions, please use it with a waterproof case.

 

03  Shooting & Performance

5. What video resolutions does the S7 PRO support?

It supports multiple resolutions, including 4K, 2.7K, 1440P, and 1080P. The maximum supported settings are 4K 50FPS and 1080P 120FPS, suitable for daily recording, cycling, skiing, travel, and sports shooting.

6. Does it support vertical shooting mode?

Yes. It supports native 4K vertical shooting. Simply rotate the camera to shoot in portrait orientation, making it suitable for short-video content creation.

7. Does it support image stabilization?

Yes. It supports Super Stabilization, Enhanced Super Stabilization, Horizon Stabilization, and 360° Horizon Correction to help reduce camera shake during motion shooting.

8. How is the night shooting performance?

The S7 PRO is equipped with an AI night vision algorithm and supports Night Mode, helping improve brightness and detail in low-light environments. Actual performance may vary depending on ambient light, shooting mode, and movement speed.

9. Does it support pre-recording?

Yes. It supports pre-recording. In 4K mode, it can pre-record up to approximately 50 seconds; in 1080P mode, it can pre-record up to approximately 60 seconds. This is useful for capturing action moments or unexpected scenes.

 

04  Connectivity

10. Does it support Wi-Fi?

Yes. It supports 5GHz Wi-Fi 6. You can connect the camera through the mobile app for video preview, file download, and settings adjustment.

11. What is the Wi-Fi download speed?

The download speed can reach up to 30MB/s. Actual speed may vary depending on the phone model, environmental interference, file size, and distance.

12. Does it support Bluetooth?

Yes. It supports Bluetooth pairing and can be used to connect compatible XTU Bluetooth accessories, such as the XTU Bluetooth microphone.

 

05  Battery & Charging

13. What is the battery capacity?

The S7 PRO is equipped with an 1800mAh battery.

14. How long does charging take?

It supports PD fast charging and can charge to approximately 80% in about 46 minutes. Actual charging time may vary depending on charger output, ambient temperature, and battery condition.

15. Can it record while charging?

Yes. It supports recording while charging, which is suitable for extended shooting. Please use a stable power source and avoid continuous recording for long periods in high-temperature environments.

16. How long is the battery life?

Battery life varies depending on resolution, frame rate, stabilization mode, Wi-Fi usage, screen brightness, and ambient temperature. Higher resolutions, higher frame rates, and Wi-Fi usage will increase power consumption.

 

06  Accessories & Mounting

17. What accessories does it support?

It supports a variety of dedicated XTU accessories, such as a waterproof case, Bluetooth microphone, charging case, cage, and magnetic neck mount.

18. Does it support magnetic quick release?

Yes. It features a magnetic quick-release design, allowing the camera to be quickly mounted or removed. It is suitable for cycling, hiking, travel, Vlog recording, and other scenarios.

19. Can it be mounted on a helmet, bicycle, or chest?

Yes. With the corresponding mounting accessories, it can be used on helmets, handlebars, chest straps, neck mounts, and more.

20. Is it compatible with GoPro accessories?

Some universal interface accessories may be compatible. However, to ensure stable mounting and normal use, we recommend using official XTU accessories first.

 

07  Troubleshooting

21. Why does the camera show a memory card error?

This may be caused by insufficient card speed, incompatible formatting, card damage, or reduced stability after long-term use. We recommend using a Micro-SD card from a well-known brand, rated U3 or above, and formatting it in the camera before use.

22. Why does the video stutter or drop frames?

This is usually related to insufficient memory card write speed. Please use a high-speed card rated U3 or above, and avoid using old, low-speed, or unbranded memory cards.

23. Why does the camera get hot?

Action cameras generate some heat during 4K recording, high-frame-rate shooting, Wi-Fi transfer, or long recording sessions. This is normal. Avoid continuous long-term recording in high-temperature or enclosed environments.

24. Why does the app connection fail?

Please make sure the camera Wi-Fi is turned on and that the phone has allowed the app to use WLAN, Bluetooth, location, and other required permissions. Keep the phone close to the camera when connecting. If necessary, restart both the camera and the phone, then reconnect.

25. How do I format the memory card?

For first-time use or when recording abnormalities occur, we recommend formatting the Micro-SD card in the camera settings menu. Formatting will delete all files on the card, so please back up important content in advance.
